When Anker is released from prison after 15 years, quite a bit has changed: His brother Manfred is no longer called Manfred, but John, to be precise, John Lennon. This quickly becomes a problem for Anker, as he had tasked Manfred, before his imprisonment, with hiding the loot from a robbery. But since Manfred is no longer Manfred, but John, John doesn’t know where the money is either. However, with his gangster colleague Flemming breathing down his neck, he and his brother embark on a search for the money, leading them to the house of his childhood and thus into a piece of the past, mixed with the absurd reality of the present that now plays out there.
In the chaos of sibling drama, horror satire, and gangster comedy, the film finds a balance where the eccentric becomes normality – a macabre pleasure.
