MinsKi: "Karla"
Heddesdorfer Str. 84, 56564 Neuwied
In the early 1960s, the young Karla gathers all her courage: she leaves her parental home and reports her father to the police for sexual abuse. The experienced Judge Lamy takes on the 12-year-old, even though he knows that such cases are often hopeless and rarely lead to a conviction of the perpetrators. Although the girl initially struggles to find the words to disclose her terrible experiences, Lamy patiently finds a way to strengthen Karla's trust and help her to be heard and achieve justice. Based on a true abuse case, director Christina Tournatzés tells the story of young Karla, portrayed with impressive sensitivity by young actress Elise Krieps.
