MinsKi: "Hamnet"
Heddesdorfer Str. 84, 56564 Neuwied
At the end of the 16th century, the young teacher William Shakespeare meets Agnes and falls head over heels in love with her. Against all odds, the couple stands strong and finds happiness with their three children. William, supported by his wife, moves to London to pursue his dream of becoming a successful playwright. As the plague spreads across the land and takes the life of his son, William does everything he can to honor him in one of his plays. The film does not aim to show a historically accurate biography, even if the main character bears the name of the playwright. Instead, it imagines an emotional story about processing grief and how art can emerge from it.
