MinsKi: "Kein Land für Niemand – Abschottung eines Einwanderungslandes"
Heddesdorfer Str. 84, 56564 Neuwied
As part of the International Weeks Against Racism, the Minski team, in cooperation with the Integration Commissioner of the City of Neuwied, presents the film “No Country for Nobody – Isolation of an Immigration Country.”
The documentary by Max Ahrens and Maik Lüdemann accompanies a rescue mission in the Mediterranean, where civil engagement fights against an ongoing humanitarian crisis, and depicts the conditions in Europe's refugee camps and at its external borders. It should not be overlooked that these images are sometimes emotionally hard to bear. At the same time, the film highlights the changing political and social developments in Germany. Not only scientists, politicians, and activists are given a voice, but also those who are directly affected by the consequences of immigration policy.
With a critical perspective that does not conceal its clear agenda but also does not diminish its importance, the film encourages questioning the increasing radicalization and the rightward shift in the migration and asylum debate, and developing alternatives that can adequately address the reality of migration in a world fraught with crises.
