CHILDREN'S AND FAMILY PROGRAMME The rainbow fish This story is about a fish whose scales shimmer in all the colours of the rainbow. He is called the rainbow fish. The other fish admire him for his colourful shimmering scales, which is why he is very proud of his beauty. One day, a small blue fish asks him for a glittering scale, but the rainbow fish doesn't give him one and chases him away. Terrified, the little blue fish swims away and tells his friends about his experience. From then on, nobody wants to have anything to do with the rainbow fish and he is now the loneliest fish in the sea. The rainbow fish tells the starfish about his suffering. The starfish then sends him to the wise octopus. The octopus advises him to give each fish one of his glittering scales. But he is not satisfied with that. Suddenly, the little blue fish returns and asks the rainbow fish for another glitter scale. The rainbow fish hesitantly gives him a small glitter scale and realises how happy the little blue fish is. Soon after, the other fish also come and ask him for a glitter scale. The rainbow fish hands out a glitter scale to each of the fish. In the end, he is left with one himself. From then on, the rainbow fish lives happily and merrily with the other fish in the sea. The production works with fish puppets up to one metre tall.
