As part of the exhibition "Shaped by Fire and Stone: the Westerwald in Photography and Ceramics," which starts on February 28, 2025, the museum is announcing a photography competition. This aims to give photography enthusiasts the chance to participate in the exhibition with their own photo of the Westerwald. From now until February 1, 2026, photographers can submit their own images of the Westerwald to the Roentgen Museum Neuwied. A jury will then select the three most successful works. These will be integrated into the exhibition at the Roentgen Museum and awarded to the winners as prizes at the end of the exhibition. Additionally, the first-place photograph will receive a voucher for Alpa Foto Neuwied as well as the book "Photo Tour Germany: The Most Beautiful Places in the Westerwald."

Submissions can be made by sending your own photos of the landscapes and towns of the Westerwald via email to roentgenmuseum@kreis-neuwied.de.
