Burg Sunday as part of the Spring Festival

10 AM Guided hike on the Gutenberg Trail. Start at the upper gate of the Electoral Castle, Burgstraße 1 (Information from hiking guide Wolfgang Blum www.blum-wolfgang.de). Cost 8 euros. Circular hike starting and ending in Eltville. No registration required.

1 PM Print demonstration with Frank Dieter Messer and Tom Schüler. Many insider tips and information about Gutenberg and his invention. Duration approximately 1 hour, cost 5 euros including tower entrance. Tickets online at eltville.de/ticketshop or on-site at the Tourist Information. The printers Tom Schüler and Frank Dieter Messer are available for questions about printing and will demonstrate how the printing press works. Entrance to the tower 3.50 euros.

P.S. In 2025, we will celebrate the birthday of Johannes Gutenberg. The inventor was born 625 years ago.

The Tourist Information and the Castle Shop are open from 10:30 AM to 5 PM. Here you can get tickets for the tower tour and print demonstration, brochures, souvenirs, and a small selection of beverages.
