The Heinz Nikolai winery is a renowned winery in the Rheingau and is as much a part of Erbach as Riesling is to the Rheingau: "Our goal is to continue filling this tradition with new content while dynamically pursuing our path."
Founded in 1824, it has been in the possession of the Nikolai family, who are dedicated to producing premium wines. The winery manages a total of 16 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of the Rheingau, including the Erbacher Siegelsberg, Erbacher Steinmorgen, as well as Hallgartener Jungfer and Hallgartener Schönhell. The main varieties cultivated are Riesling and Spätburgunder, but Goldmuskateller, Weißburgunder, and Sauvignon Blanc also complement the range.
