Many contrasts make a whole
Danish-German, Riesling-Pinot Noir, brother-sister, wine-sparkling wine, familiar-new, contrasts attract each other at the Egert winery, where, for the sixth generation, eight hands and four paws work daily for the success and continuity of the estate. This diversity leads to ideas born from experience combined with innovation. While Sophie focuses on the production of her own sparkling wine, Max prioritizes a nature-friendly cultivation of the vineyards. The winery is located in the heart of the Rheingau – in Hattenheim on the Rhine. On 9 hectares of vineyard, our Riesling and Pinot vines grow, which we tend with great manual labor. With 90%, Riesling plays the main role with us, ranging from dry to off-dry, still and sparkling, showcasing the queen of the vines in diverse ways. 10% of the vineyard area is planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc vines, which are pressed into dry white and rosé wines.
