They range from Roman times to the reconstruction plans of the 20th century. A model vividly illustrates the situation of the castle and fortress around 1600. The information panels provide explanations in both German and English. In the basement, the original barrel vault from 1371, examples from trade and industry of the last two centuries, such as cooper's tools, machines, and equipment from a scroll saw factory and a bookbinding shop are on display. The highlight of this room is the old Rheinfels pharmacy.
