"Was ist die Welt" - Ein Abend über Leben, Lieben und den Krieg
Johannesstr. 20, 56112 Lahnstein
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the taw – theater am werk koblenz e.V. will present an artistically dense collage of texts, poems, and music on the stage of the Theater Lahnstein under the title “What is the World – Life – Love – War.”
The production, directed by Walla Heldermann, poses questions that are as relevant today as ever: What does war mean for the individual? What traces does it leave on victors and the vanquished? And how does love assert itself in a world where conflicts are always simmering somewhere?
Walla Heldermann’s staging illuminates the fate of the individual between homecoming, hope, and loss. With works by significant authors such as Erich Maria Remarque, Kurt Tucholsky, Matthias Claudius, Karl Kraus, and Hugo von Hofmannsthal, it explores what war means for the individual, what marks it leaves on victors and the defeated, and how love thrives in a world where conflicts are always boiling over.
On stage, the program is supported by the interplay of language and sound: Actor Christoph Maasch interprets the literary sources while jazz guitarist Katrin Zurborg musically accompanies and accentuates the evening.
The event starts at 6:00 PM, and admission is 20.00 Euro.
You can obtain tickets online via Ticket Regional, at the Tourist Information Lahnstein at Salhofplatz, or at all Ticket Regional advance booking offices.
