In the 20th century, there were some great comedians, but only a few have had their fame reach into the new millennium. The great comedy duo Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy – known as "Laurel and Hardy" or "Stan & Ollie" – undoubtedly belong to this group. Unique and timeless to this day, these two icons have left their mark on film history. Among other things, the film Liberty (Leo McCarey, USA 1929) will be shown, one of the most breathtaking Laurel and Hardy films, as the two engage in daring antics as construction workers on the beams of a skyscraper.
