Our tour starts in front of the Fürstlich-Wiedischen Castle as the starting point of the city founding and the associated privileges granted to the Jewish community. Then our path leads us to the memorial of the Jewish Synagogue and to various stumbling stones in the downtown area of Neuwied, which commemorate people from this community and their fate. Passing the Market Church, where the German Christians held the upper hand, our path ends in the Herrnhuter Quarter. Here, several Jewish fellow citizens were hidden and brought to safety.
