STADTGALERIE Mennonitenkirche: Neuwied neu gesehen
Schlossstr. 2, 56564 Neuwied
June 26, 2026 – August 16, 2026
Discover Neuwied from surprising perspectives! Under the title “Newly Seen Neuwied,” the Stadtgalerie Mennonitenkirche presents an exhibition by the local artists' group Fotowerkstatt, offering fascinating insights into the dike town on the Rhine – for the residents of Neuwied as well as for guests from outside.
Nine female and male photographers, brought together through the VHS Neuwied, have captured everyday scenes, encounters, and details from their own unique viewpoints – consciously away from classic city views. Works created during joint “Photo Walks” show Neuwied as an open, vibrant, and diverse city: sometimes inviting and cosmopolitan, sometimes surprising, occasionally observing quietly, and then again full of life.
The exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the familiar and consciously perceive the inconspicuous. Locals experience familiar places from new perspectives, while visitors can get to know the city in a special and personal way. This creates impressions of arriving and lingering, fleeting encounters, the togetherness of people, and small moments that often remain hidden in everyday life.
The team at the Stadtgalerie looks forward to your visit to an exhibition for discovery, wonder, and reunion.
Opening hours: Wed., Thu., Fri. 2–6 p.m., Sat., Sun., public holidays 12–6 p.m.
All exhibition spaces are accessible without barriers.
