When superheroes and fighter pilots wink at each other while flying low over the dance floor, and a robot in the sandbox repairs a digger, then MAYBEBOP is doing "child's play." The playful a cappella quartet has been setting standards in German entertainment for almost 20 years with their numerous stage programs. Now, they are realizing a long-held dream with their first studio children's album. True to the motto "We sing what we know," the four family fathers skillfully rummage through their song chest, pulling out songs that not only make the kids dream, laugh, and dance. MAYBEBOP sends small and big ears on a journey into ever new musical worlds. Meanwhile, the band, recently crowned "Group of the Decade" by the American critics' platform "The Recorded A Cappella Review Board," remains true to itself by not taking itself too seriously. And when it does, it touches you even more. "Child's Play" guarantees the best echo ever to come from a children's room through the apartment: "Again, a.g.a.i.n., AGAIN!"
