From 15.09.2026 until the 01.11.2026
Roentgenmuseum: Ausstellung Frank Kunert: Bühne frei!“
Raiffeisenplatz 1 a, 56564 Neuwied
The exhibition presents, alongside some large-format photographs, selected original models, thus offering a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of Frank Kunert's unique cosmos.
Frank Kunert (*1963 in Frankfurt am Main) decided early on, after training as a photographer, to work with miniature sets. His works have been displayed in many exhibitions both at home and abroad: for instance, in Aschaffenburg, Dillenburg, Ham, Offenbach, and Strasbourg, as well as in London, New York, Paris, and Schöppenstedt.
The artist has published several picture books and received various awards, including the German Photo Book Prize, the State Prize for Arts and Crafts Rheinland-Palatinate, the Heinrich Zille Caricature Prize, and the Artlantis Art Prize.
His income allows him to own numerous houses and cars – in the space-saving scale of 1:12 to 1:43. He lives with his wife Elizabeth Joan Clarke, also an artist, in Boppard.
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., District Administrator Achim Hallerbach and Museum Director Jennifer Stein will open the new special exhibition "Frank Kunert: Stage Free!" at the Roentgen Museum Neuwied. The musical accompaniment for the opening will be provided by Claudius Valk (saxophone).
