Premiere in the Brentano Barn

Two big names of French chanson: Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel united in a joint gala! What never happened in reality will be musically made up for in the Brentano Barn in Oestrich-Winkel by the chanson interpreters Brigitte Stortz-Schindler and Steffen Heieck with their groups “Rouge Baiser” and “Brel-Projekt”. 

In four sets, the great anthems of literary and popular chanson resonate against the backdrop of the life stories of the two artists, who could hardly be more different. Between 1953 (Brel's arrival in Paris) and 1963 (Piaf's death), the two could have celebrated a joint triumph thanks to their enormous successes, but a rendezvous never took place.
