When Luisenplatz is once again illuminated by atmospheric festive lights, the scent of roasted almonds and candied apples fills the air, and festive sounds rise into the evening sky, then the Crunch Market season has begun in Neuwied. Already on Friday, November 21, the numerous lovingly decorated stalls and sales booths will open for the first time this year, transforming the heart of Neuwied’s city center into a contemplative Christmas world. An advent music program, the lovingly arranged children's Crunch Land, and a wide range of culinary Christmas specialties, handmade goods, and decoration items invite visitors to stroll, indulge, and linger, spreading pre-Christmas cheer.
Those who let their gaze wander over the festive happenings at the Crunch Market will undoubtedly be drawn to the two wooden church towers of the meter-high Advent calendar in the children’s Crunch Land. This year, the market stalls will also be overshadowed by the "Romantica" Ferris wheel, which offers all visitors a whole new perspective on and over the Neuwied Crunch Market. The regional shop booth "Amalie" and the social booth are now indispensable: While the Amalie offers a wide range of products from local suppliers as usual, the social booth is operated by different charitable associations and organizations, allowing them to sell their goods here easily and rent-free for a good cause.
It's no secret that the Crunch Market is a real attraction for guests of all ages. After all, the large children's Crunch Land draws many families into the Neuwied city center each year, even beyond the city limits. The oversized snow globe and the many lovingly decorated huts transport visitors this year into fantastic fairy tale worlds, showcasing beloved characters like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, or the Frog King. Also new is the Experience Bus, which makes a tour through the children's Crunch Land even more exciting.

The Crunch Market opens its gates from Friday, November 21, to Tuesday, December 23, daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., except on the Sunday of the Dead.
The gastronomic stands and the mulled wine and Feuerzangenbowle booths will adjust to current operations and are regularly open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
