Simply hop on, arrive relaxed: On Saturday, October 18, and Saturday, November 8, the "Deichstadt-Express" will roll through Neuwied for the first time. The Neuwied city marketing will operate three free shuttle buses on these two days from 11 AM to 5 PM, connecting the neighborhoods with the city center. Citizens as well as visitors to the city can flexibly get on and off at numerous stops. The offering is rounded off by a total of 13 leisure providers, who will present special programs for passengers on the event days – from free entry and exciting tours to unique activities. But those who simply feel like a stroll through the city or want to comfortably visit another neighborhood are in the right place with the "Deichstadt-Express."

Participate and win
A visit to the participating leisure providers is even twice as rewarding on the event days. All passengers on the "Deichstadt-Express" receive a raffle card, on which stickers can be collected from all providers. Since it is hardly possible to visit all offers in one day, the raffle card can also be supplemented with stickers after the event days until February 28. Those who have at least five can submit their card at the Neuwied Tourist Information by March 1 to enter the raffle. Important to know: The stickers at the Marc Daumas dance school and at the Kastell Niederbieber are only available on November 8. At the Feldkirche, they are only available on the two event days.

Experience Neuwied from neighborhood to neighborhood
The initiative is part of the funding program "City Center Impulses 2025-2026." The goal is to enliven the city center while making leisure offerings throughout the city more visible. "We invite everyone to discover the numerous activities and offers not only in the city center but throughout Neuwied with the Deichstadt-Express," says Sarah Bodmann from Neuwied city marketing.
