On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 5 PM, the vocal ensemble TonART Neuwied, conducted by Peter Uhl, will take the audience on a musical journey through Holy Week in St. Matthias Church. The choir presents, among other works, pieces from the Requiem op. 9 by Maurice Duruflé, works by Widor, Vierne, and Fauré, as well as other Passion music arranged chronologically from Palm Sunday through Maundy Thursday to Good Friday. The audience can expect an impressive program from different epochs with complex harmonies and atmospheric sounds. Rainer Neuendorff will guide the concert with brief explanations and textual impulses.
Other contributors include Klaus Evers on the organ and the vocal ensemble Cappella Vocale conducted by Simon Schumacher.
Admission to the concert is free. A collection will be taken at the exit.
