The hike starts on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Vulkan-Expreß with a ride to Burgbrohl. After that, it goes along a section of the Quellenweg past old lava flows back into the Rhine Valley. Finally, the area was shaped by the eruption of the Laacher See Volcano about 13,000 years ago. During the exciting hike, there will be plenty of information on the volcanologically interesting exposures, and of course, it also goes through the unique Trass caves.
A distance of about 10 km will be hiked.
The hike starts at 09:00 AM at the Vulkan-Expreß station in Brohl.
