45. Lahnsteiner Bluesfestival

Salhofplatz 1, 56112 Lahnstein

45th Lahnstein Blues Festival

The Lahnstein Blues Festival is one of the oldest and, according to FAZ, one of the most important in Germany. Since 1982, regional, national, and international stars of the blues scene have performed at the Lahnstein City Hall.
It is known for its diverse selection of artists and the wide range of blues styles and interpretations, from traditional Delta blues to modern blues rock.
This year, under the motto Forever Young, the timeless power and freshness of the blues will be celebrated. In this spirit, an exhilarating lineup guarantees a spine-tingling atmosphere – cross-generational, vibrant, and full of energy!
The event will be hosted by cabaret artist and musician Arnim Töpel.
Kah
The evening will be opened by the young formation Kah, featuring the Diez singer-songwriter Hanne Kah. The band combines Americana, folk, and pop with a modern sound that is both soulful and powerful, effectively setting the audience up for an intense blues evening.
Eric Bibb
At the forefront of the program is American Eric Bibb, a Grammy-nominated acoustic blues veteran with five and a half decades of stage experience. Bibb has released over 40 albums and has won multiple Blues Music Awards as Acoustic Artist of the Year. The New York-born singer and guitarist blends blues with folk, gospel, and soul into profound, moving songs – a crowd magnet that has already made concert halls around the world vibrate.
Eb Davis
Another highlight is Eb Davis: the US-born singer, who lives in Berlin, is an internationally known blues singer with an expressive voice and virtuoso harmonica playing. For over 40 years, this charismatic blues and soul showman has been captivating his audience.
For his contributions, he was named the Blues Ambassador of the State of Arkansas in 2008 and voted Germany's best R&B singer.
Lahnsteiner Blues Allstars
A special highlight is the Lahnsteiner Blues Allstars, a unique project band that brings together high-profile musicians for an exclusive stage project. Under the direction of Daniel Stelter, this formation promises blues perfection and an electrifying jam-session atmosphere.
Lahnsteiner Blues-Louis
This year, guitar legend Frank Diez will receive the prestigious award of the Lahnstein Blues Festival, the Blues-Louis. Diez is considered one of the most prominent European blues guitarists: he played with icons such as Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry, and Little Richard and was a long-time founding member of the Peter Maffay Band.
