The individual hunting rings, the smallest unit within the organisation of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Hunting Association (LJV), essentially include those members of the LJV who have their main place of residence in the area of the LJV or who are authorised to hunt there (tenants, owners).

The Rhine-Hunsrück district group is subdivided into eight hunting rings, these are the hunting rings:

Boppard
Emmelshausen
Gemünden
Kastellaun
Kirchberg-Büchenbeuren
Rheinböllen
Simmern
St. Goar-Oberwesel

The hunting rings are led by the hunting ring leader or the respective deputies, who are elected by the members.
