Aussichtspunkt Niederburger Heide
55432 Niederburg
The area of Niederburger Heide covers 10 hectares, with a part of the area being managed biotopically. People enjoy the diversity of the plant world in various colors, which changes throughout the year, whether in meadows, fields, dry areas, along water, or in the forest. The same applies to the animal world.
In order for the existing flora and fauna to have a chance, the area must be cleared from time to time. This clearing of the areas is done depending on the situation and possibility with a herd of sheep as a drift, or years ago unintentionally due to strong summer heat by burning, or if not possible otherwise, by mulching with a vehicle.
Every square meter in the protected areas looks different regarding flora and thus also fauna and changes constantly throughout the year. This is also related to the existing soil, whether it is e.g. rock, stones, clay, or sand, as well as the weather (rain, sun, shade...).
