Schlosspark - The Palace ParkThe Palace Park links the Koblenz inner city with the Rhine through the open palace and down the palace steps to the Rhine promenade. Since the Federal Horticultural Show in 2011, the palace forecourt has regained its former splendour with extensive lawns, carefully tended beds of roses and perennials, a giant picnic table - the “Lange Tafel” - and a large expanse of water. The park is also a hive of activity with a children’s play area (the “Empress Augusta’s Jewelry Box”) and the popular skate plaza. With its sunken gardens, the palace gardens present a modern interpretation of Prussian landscape architecture.
